AtU2.com was one of the longest-running U2 fan sites, operating from 1995 to 2020. I was a volunteer editor and writer with the site for a year; below is a sample of my published work.

EDITING SAMPLE: NEWS ARTICLE

These edits were for a news article written by another author, covering the new Sirius radio station devoted to U2: U2X Radio. The P/S abbreviations refer to paragraph and sentence numbers to easily track edits.

EDITING SAMPLE: OP ED

These edits were for an op ed titled "Home" that explored the idea of U2 songs that could be categorized as "inside the house" or "outside the house."

WRITING SAMPLE: BREAKING NEWS ITEM

This article was breaking news, requiring quick research, writing, and posting to the @U2 website.

WRITING SAMPLE: WEEKLY NEWS REVIEW

One of @U2's features in its final year was a weekly news digest, the Week In Review. Staff took turns writing the weekly summary of U2 news; in addition to writing and editing for this feature, I also was responsible for managing the weekly writing rotation assignments.

When AtU2 shut down, the official U2 website formally posted a goodbye, which included all past and present staffers' names. Click below to see the full post on U2.com.
