FICTION, NON-FICTION, AND PROJECTS

STRAWBERRY BLONDES FOREVER

March 2013

In college, I took an Honors class about Sherlock Holmes. This was at the height of the craze for the BBC show Sherlock, and one of our assignments was to write a spec script for the show based on one of Doyle's original Holmes stories. My script, titled "Strawberry Blondes Forever," is based on the story "The Red-HeadedLeague."

HON 394 RESEARCH PAPER | APRIL 2014

(Hetero)sexualizing the Detective, the Physicist, and the Angel: Heteronormativity in Pop Culture Television.

This research paper was written for an Honors-level class on human sexuality. Our final paper had to be 20+ pages and explore topics we had discussed during the semester. My project explored heteronormativity at work in the love lives of protagonists from three popular TV shows at the time: SherlockThe Big Bang Theory, and Supernatural.

WEBSITE CONTENT EDITING/CREATION | AUGUST 2017

Academic Advising Center (AAC) Majors Page

For my graduate capstone project, I edited or wrote all of the content for the AAC Majors Page, the website listing all of the undergraduate academic programs and their associated career paths at the University of Utah. I edited and updated some program information that had been pre-written by individual departments to ensure uniform information and voice; other programs did not have preexisting information, requiring me to research and write all content for the page from scratch.
